This page explains how content is created, reviewed, updated, and corrected on Reviews and Buy. We follow these standards on every article, every time — no exceptions for advertisers or affiliate partners.
Last updated: 23 May 2026
1. Editorial Independence
Reviews and Buy is 100% editorially independent. No advertiser, affiliate partner, PR agency, or brand has any influence over:
- Which products we cover
- Which products we recommend
- The ratings, rankings, or scores we assign
- The tone, conclusions, or language of any review
We do not run sponsored posts. We do not sell “top 10” placements. We do not accept gifts in exchange for coverage. If we test a product sent for free by a brand, we disclose it inside the article — and the free sample never influences the score.
2. Sourcing Standards
Every health, nutrition, or wellness claim on Reviews and Buy must be backed by at least one of the following:
- A peer-reviewed study indexed on PubMed or Cochrane Library
- Guidance from NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS), FDA, EFSA, NHS, or WHO
- A manufacturer’s Certificate of Analysis (COA) from a third-party lab
- Third-party verification from NSF International, USP, Informed Sport, or ConsumerLab
We do not cite:
- Brand-owned “studies” with no independent verification
- Influencer claims
- Generic blog posts or content-farm articles
- AI-generated summaries without primary-source verification
Every external claim links to its source so readers can verify it themselves.
3. Writing & AI Use
Our articles are written by humans. We use AI tools (such as outlining assistants and grammar checkers) only for editorial support — never to auto-generate full articles. Every published piece is:
- Outlined by a researcher
- Drafted by a human writer
- Fact-checked against primary sources
- Reviewed by the editor before publication
If we ever publish AI-assisted content, it is clearly labeled.
4. Product Testing
For supplement and nutrition reviews, our team:
- Purchases products at retail (or discloses free samples)
- Verifies the ingredient label against the brand’s claims
- Cross-references the COA when available
- Logs personal trial notes over a minimum 14-day usage window for ingestible products
- Compiles verified buyer reviews from Amazon, Reddit, Trustpilot, iHerb, and brand sites
- Compares price-per-serving against competitors
Full scoring breakdown is documented in our Methodology.
5. Corrections Policy
We make mistakes. When we do, we fix them transparently.
- Factual errors are corrected within 48 hours of being reported
- Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with a date stamp
- If a product is recalled, reformulated, or discontinued, we update or unpublish the review
To report an error: corrections@reviewsandbuy.org
6. Update Schedule
- Product reviews are reviewed every 6 months for pricing, formula changes, and availability
- Best-of lists are re-evaluated every 3 months
- Health/nutrition guides are re-checked annually against current scientific consensus
Every article displays a “Last updated” date at the top.
7. Affiliate Disclosure
Reviews and Buy participates in the Amazon Associates Program and other affiliate programs. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
All affiliate links use rel=”sponsored nofollow” per FTC and Google guidelines. The presence of an affiliate link never changes our recommendation.
8. Conflicts of Interest
No member of the Reviews and Buy team holds equity in, is employed by, or receives consulting fees from any supplement or wellness brand we review. If this ever changes, it will be disclosed on the relevant article.
9. Reader Privacy
We don’t sell reader data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
